I Drove Across the Golden Gate Bridge
•May 25, 2009 • 1 CommentOkay, so I may not have been driving the car, but I was in it. Having grown up half my life in California and visiting several times since, I had still never visited San Francisco or the Golden Gate Bridge. Well, I decided to fix that last week. I had a great trip to California with my Dad and was able to spend some much needed time with my Grandma and family.
Today’s my birthday, I’m 22 and I can now say that I have been to the Golden Gate Bridge.
Not that you need it, but here’s the proof.

It was still pretty foggy when we arrived, but I still like it.

Wedding: Tanner and Kelsey
•May 22, 2009 • 3 CommentsA couple months ago my friend Betsy asked me if I would help shoot a wedding with her. I said yes, of course! I had such a blast shooting Tanner and Kelsey’s big day and wish them only the best for their future!
Betsy, thanks for letting me tag along for the day!

California Bound
•May 13, 2009 • 1 CommentTomorrow morning I leave for California. My dad and I are going to visit my Grandma, and we’ll be gone for a week. I hope to make a day trip to San Francisco to photograph the Golden Gate Bridge.
Here’s a sneak peak from a wedding I helped photograph. More to come when I get back from my trip!

Bridals: Iylana
•May 9, 2009 • 2 CommentsIylana has been married for about a year now. She didn’t have a professional wedding photographer at her wedding, so I was super excited that I was able to shoot some bridal pictures for her! Not only is Iylana gorgeous, but she is super sweet too! Iylana, I hope you had as much fun as I did and enjoy the pictures!

The End of a Chapter
•May 7, 2009 • 2 CommentsI’m graduating tomorrow.
It’s a bittersweet feeling. I’m so excited for what the future has in store for me, but I’m also kind of sad to see this chapter of my life close. It has been what I’ve known for the past four years. I have had so much fun here and have made some amazing friends that I will cherish forever. But as great as college was, I refuse to believe that there’s not bigger and better things ahead for me, and I’m excited to discover what those things are.
Still…it’s bittersweet.
Things I Will Miss:
Campus- We have a beautiful campus and I’ll miss not walking through it everyday.
Salads from the market- Seriously, they were the BEST! Who would have thought a salad could be so tasty?
Responsibility or lack there of- I’m not saying I’ve been completely carefree with no responsibilities while here at college, but now every single bill in the mail will be mine. No more leaning on the parents.
Dad’s Insurance- This kind of goes with the above mentioned but once I’m out of school, that insurance goes “bye-bye.”
The Weather- as much as I get teased about living in west Texas, also sometimes referred to by my cousin as “the middle of nowhere,” we have great weather here (aside from the occasional wind storm, but what place doesn’t have a few bad weather days). Seriously though, there’s absolutely no humidity here and most of the time it’s in the 70’s.
My photo classes. I had so much fun in these classes and this is where I made some of my best friends during college.
Friends!
Things I Won’t Miss:
Accounting, Finance and any class along these lines. Hey, I know my strengths and weaknesses!
Finals, tests, group projects, presentations.
The endless hours studying at the library. That place was like a second home to me before tests and finals.
The 8-hour drive home. It is really getting old.
I’m pretty much all packed up and my family is coming in town today. I’ll be moving back home this weekend. Yes, it’s bittersweet, but I’m so excited for the future!
Junction
•May 2, 2009 • 3 CommentsA couple years ago I took a two week outdoor photography course down in Junction, Texas. I had a blast during those two weeks and made some amazing friends during that time. A few of my friends are starting this class in a week and I’m so excited for them! Here’s a few pictures from my time there. Oh, and no digital work here…these were all taken with slide film.

You could often find us climbing through all kinds of shrubbery.

Engagement: Scarlett and Trent
•April 27, 2009 • 3 CommentsI met Scarlett my first year at college and we’ve been friends ever since. I remember her telling me she first met Trent at a Halloween party and how they started dating, and now they’re engaged! Trent asked the big question in November and these two plan on getting married this summer. I was so excited when Scarlett asked me to take their engagements and I’m even more excited for their wedding in July! Enjoy!

Hide and Seek
•April 24, 2009 • Leave a CommentYesterday morning I was looking for Harley and couldn’t find her. She’s a sneaky one! I thought it was too cute, so I grabbed these two shots before I left for class. Not great photo quality, but I thought I’d share anyway.

Amy
•April 22, 2009 • 1 CommentMeet Amy. Amy’s graduating in May with a degree in PR and is super excited about being done with college (which I can totally relate to). Her boyfriend works in the Marketing department for Tech athletics, and he was able to get us on the Tech football field to snatch a few photos. How cool is that? Enjoy!

I have lots of sessions that I’m working my way through. With finals and projects and the end of the semester things are a bit crazy! Bear with me, I’ll have them edited soon!
